Praised for her "sweeping dramatic talent" and her "delightful and impressive deep voice, with a particularly beautiful color and powerful projection", the Israeli Mezzo Soprano Shay Bloch performs regularly with the Israeli Opera in a wide range of repertoire. In her international career she has debuted in European theaters including Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti Modena, Teatro Comunale Alighieri di Ravenna, Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza, Sofia National Opera, Festival Pucciniano di Torre del Lago and others. Her repertoire ranges from Oratorio and Lider to main mezzo soprano roles in the Operatic literature. Ms. Bloch has recently debuted in Teatro Regio di Parma in the role of Contessa di Coigny in Andrea Chénier (Giordano). In the upcoming season she will return to the Israeli Opera where she will perform the roles of Rosette in Manon (Massenet), Jade Boucher in Dead Man Walking (Heggie), Olga in Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky) and Flora in La Traviata (Verdi).
