Praised for her "sweeping dramatic talent" and her "delightful and impressive deep voice, with a particularly beautiful color and powerful projection", the Israeli Mezzo Soprano Shay Bloch performs regularly with the Israeli Opera in a wide range of repertoire. In her international career she has debuted in European theaters such as Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti-Freni Modena, Teatro Comunale Alighieri di Ravenna, Fondazione Teatri di Piacenza, Sofia National Opera, Festival Pucciniano di Torre del Lago and others. Her repertoire ranges from Oratorio and Lider to main mezzo soprano roles in the Operatic literature. Ms. Bloch has recently performed Olga in Eugene Onegin (Tchaikovsky), Madame Flora (Baba) in The Medium (Menotti), 3rd Lady in Die Zauberflöte (Mozart) and Zulma in L'Italiana in Algeri (Rossini), in the Israeli Opera. In the upcoming seasons she will return to the Israeli Opera where she will perform the roles of Flora in La traviata (Verdi), Nicklausse in Les Contes d'Hoffmann (Offenbach), Suzuki in Madama Butterfly (Puccini).
